This X-ray image of the Parachidendron pruinosum seedpod was one of a series the artist worked on in the Microscopy room at PLANTBANK in 2014.

It's been a popular choice since first being available as a distinctive, highly unique Print. I've also lived with a big poster of this print in my studio every day for the past 8 years ... such an important image that I never tire of looking at. I found this rare unopened spiral pod in a box of these beautiful spiral-shaped seeds from a very beautiful rainforest in Far Northern NSW. The X-ray revealed what we couldn't see with the naked eye ... the seeds hidden inside this elegant shaped pod.
