STAGE II SEEDARTLAB ONLINE WORKSHOP

Welcome!

The STAGE II ONLINE SeedArtLab workshop first launched in May 2020 has been well received around the world eve since.

As of Winter 2023 the INTRO + STAGE II workshops are now being reviewed & updated for release in early 2024.

STAGE II SeedArtLab workshop will be AVAILABLE to all

but is especially suited to those who have

1. Completed the $40 INTRO-sessions ONLINE COURSE
(which is available on an ongoing basis if needing check back in)

OR

2. Anyone who's carried out a ONE-DAY or WEEKEND SeedArtLab Workshop with Sophie Munns in the last 5 years, in person.

PLEASE NOTE: For those who are interested in pursuing this further!

BRIEF INFO YOU'LL WISH TO KNOW:

1. PRICE: $75 for the complete 4 part STAGE II course.

2. START DATE: THIS MATERIAL IS AVAILABLE ON AN ONGOING BASIS.

There is no video involved or OFFICIAL START DATE >>>> once you book in and the notification of your payment comes through to Sophie's email she then personally sends all the material after she finds your email booking.

NB: With a global time-clock there will be a delay if its in the middle of the night in Australia when the booking comes in or if Sophie is away from the internet ... but you will hear asap.

Class Material in 4 Parts will be posted to you to work on in your own timeframe.

3. FACEBOOK GROUP: You'll be joining a NEW GROUP ... exclusive to the STAGE II class IF YOU WISH!

4: MATERIALS NEEDED: More information will be provided for each session ... you can assemble Ink, Paper, a Journal, Smart phone, & mixed media to get started.... the weekly class outlines will list all necessary items ... you can decide if you need to add to your supplies. Paper can include found papers, brown paper, recycled paper as well as several sheets of good quality watercolour papers and 200gm cartridge if you can access that. Check the INFO coming soon for paper suggestions.

NB: Sophie has kept in mind many MAY BE affected by COVID19 restrictions... so tasks you'll find require TIME and FOCUS on the whole rather than a costly or complex materials list.

5. You will be given a whole range of tasks, working mostly on paper, with smart phone camera + digital work, working again with inks, mark-making tools but gradually adding all kinds of mixed media, exploring colour palettes, layering, collaging, some printing, multi-faceted approaches to EXLORING THE VISUAL INTERPRETATION OF SEED DIVERSITY.

ABOUT STAGE II:

In 2015 Sophie launched a workshop program "Seeds through an Artist's Lens" whilst on residency at the Australian Botanic Gardens in S W Sydney, NSW. This became the 'SeedArtLab' workshops ... named after her studio at her Brisbane home in Queensland.

Having done the starter class you now know what to expect ... the four weeks worth of material STAGE II offers wlll be jam packed with content ... set at two levels of engagement ... tasks you can choose for a lighter approach to start with ... and then, time permitting, some more dense tasks if wanting to extend your options.

The INTRO sessions were a great stepping off point ... Sophie is certainly hoping you will find STAGE II only more rewarding and a wonderful flow on from where you were.

STAGE II will offer more focus quite simply. You'll be able to take things much further all the while deepening your journey through the incredibly vast world of Seed Diversity.

SO WHAT EXACTLY IS STAGE II OFFERING?

You will be sent Email NEWSLETTERS in 4 Parts .... containing the course OUTLINE, materials needed + TASKS for each section of the total workshop series.

Anyone who is EXTRA KEEN & with time on your hands can explore a series of EXTRA optional tasks in addition to the given tasks. Those of you currently very busy with competing demands will be able to return to these EXTRA OPTIONS at a later date.

AND of course you will be invited to a NEW Facebook GROUP PAGE which has been set up to cater exclusively to this NEW STAGE II GROUP.

All who've just undertaken the INTRO Online course are now aware its not a formulaic One-size-fits-all approach ... what Sophie normally squeezes into the 2 hour introductory section of her first day on an IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS was set out in the Online course INTRO for participants to choose depending on how much time and energy that had for the given task.

Many participants in the INTRO classes were juggling complex things at home, some with parenting, or caring for elders, working full time or doing it all.

Dropping in at the Facebook Group is entirely optional. During the enormous adjustment participants from all around the globe were making during the first lockdown the FB group was invaluable to many.

However, over time its more likely to be used to simply glance over what others have explored, perhaps get a few ideas or check if you are on track with things.
