This image became the key image for a 2021 exhibition ONGOINGNESS which presented new work with some older pieces exploring the use of symbol and motif in the world of Seeds, Plants and Nature ... in my own work and throughout millennia across the globe.

During Covid lockdowns when producing a huge amount of abstracted works on paper featuring abstracted seed forms I really leaned into the element of patterning ... which is why an artwork that came from 2007 could feel just as contemporary for me in 2021 as it does even now.

in the 90s' I researched symbols of the ancient world after living in London 186 - 88, travelling in Europe, the Mediteranean & Middle East as well as Japan on route home where I had been drawn to ancient cultural motifs as much as contemporary Art.
