About these works on paper:

Sometimes I find experimenting with colour palettes both fascinating and an extremely satisfying process. They can reference specific places, memories or fascinations. I noticed during Covid I did a significant body of work in Indigo pigmented ink and Burnt Sienna pigmented ink.

I would select a paper surface I was drawn to eg 30 cm Cotton Rag paper squares then work on 40 papers in one series then go on to large A2 size watercolour papers and produce up to 18 works with either of both ink colours till ideas were exhausted. There were possible about 6pm different series produced with this limited palettes for of course what came next was a desire to shift into exploring highly diverse colour palettes ... working in journals, on paper, all sizes and starting points.
