As part of the 53 Islands project in October join us for two days of workshops with Brisbane based artist Sophie Munns.

An intensive program will take you deep into the world of seeds through many different lenses. Smart Phone cameras & multiple drawing approaches will be used on Sunday morning to examine seed material collected over the last decade of the artist’s Homage to the Seed project which has been running since 2009. This project began in a Seed Lab at Brisbane Botanic Garden and has taken Sophie far and wide ever since. Sunday afternoon we’ll be working on a series of small artist books applying layered mixed media surfaces & drawing seeds into these beautiful surfaces in ink.

You also have the option to join us for a second workshop day on Monday 7th for a wonderfully comprehensive experience indoors and outdoors – details below.
