Commencing at 10.30 am & running through till 3.00 pm (taking 30 mins off for shared lunch) we will have a wonderful 4 hours to focus on ink mark-making and drawing , testing out papers of all kinds and sizes.

WORKING WITH INK is something I've come & gone from over decades... both as a support to my art practice, and especially since spending 11 weeks in Hong Kong on two residencies in 2017, as a more serious interest.

Research into the ink on paper traditions and particularly contemporary ink practice in Asia is one of my fascinations.

DURING OUR WORKSHOP:

We will take a mid-way break for refreshments and reflection on what we're exploring d\so bring something to share over a cuppa - various teas & coffee I'll provide.

All Art materials - ink and a wide range of paper surfaces - will be included in the $150 workshop fee. Mark-making tools will also be supplied.

BRING
+ a visual diary & pen for notes etc
+ a smart phone
+ some twigs or a handmade brush if your keen!
+ IF you have some unusual papers bring a tiny sample to test ideas.
+ and IF you have a serious interest in unusual papers this might be time to bring
something really special to experiment with.

Dont forget a snack for yourself or a plate to share

NB: Solar-powered Air conditioning means we will be conformable whatever the weather is doing that day.

This unique ONE-OFF WORKSHOP at my Studio in BRISBANE NORTHSIDE is coming together after a call-out to gage interest. I'm so looking forward to focusing completely on ink and paper for a precious four hours ... you will complete an INK Concertina Book to inspire further work at home.

IF this date doesn't work for you call and WE CAN COME UP WITH ANOTHER TIME .... particularly if you can assemble a group to lock-in a date.
